A Bit About Me

 

Candace Martinez joined Hunsberger Dunn LLP in 2025, driven by her passion for serving the community and helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of estate planning and administration.

​

Candace earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University before attending UCLA School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 2022. During law school, she gained valuable experience through federal externships with both the Federal Public Defender’s Office (capital habeas unit) and the U.S. Attorney’s Office (criminal division). She also contributed to the UCLA Food Law & Policy Clinic and served as a Research Assistant with the UCLA Center for Food Law & Policy—a relationship she continues today as a research affiliate.

Following law school, Candace began her legal career at Jones Day in the Business Tort Litigation group, where she worked on complex civil litigation matters. Prior to law school, she held positions as a Political Compliance Analyst with Koch Companies Public Sector and as a Municipal Analyst with Best Best & Krieger LLP.

​

Outside of the office, Candace enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and sharing home-cooked meals together. She is also an avid runner and has completed more than ten half marathons.
